God doesn't care about our terminology

"God doesn't care about our terminology or give demerits for doing spiritual work out of order.


This is something I need to remind myself whenever I am tempted to make religion or doctrine my God. If it was written down and ordained by a human like me, it is merely the sharing of someone else's fallible ideas. While the paths we are examining are all deeply profound and instructive to spiritual seekers, each is merely a chronicle of one person or one group's experience with God. Their road map for traveling the road to commune with divinity. The day-to-day guidance I receive directly from Sophia usually looks much less linear, arriving in unofficial, unorthodox packages that look more like spring leaves or a ball-of-fire sunrise bursting over the horizon. It sounds like a flowing brook or children's laughter, sometimes disguising its voice as a casual comment whose wisdom is revealed only in God's good time. It feels like a book faling open in my lap, randomly, it would seem, except that the words spilling out seem to be written just for me."
