I Love to Tell the Story - Re-written by Monette Chilson

Art by Tamara Phillips

I love to tell the story of unseen things within:
of Goddess in her wisdom, with no concept of sin.
I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true.
It satisfies my longings as nothing else could do.

I love to tell her story,
Nearly lost in all its glory
to tell the old, old story
of Goddess without end.

I love to tell the story. ’Tis an honor to repeat
which seems, each time I tell it, to make me more complete.
I love to tell the story, so many have never heard
the message of reclamation in Goddess’s holy word.

I love to tell her story,
Nearly lost in all its glory
to tell the old, old story
of Goddess without end.

I love to tell the story, that beats within our breast
To sprits hungering and thirsting, she alone brings rest.
And when her power fills me, I sing her ancient song,
’twill be the old, old story that my soul has known so long.

I love to tell her story,
Nearly lost in all its glory
to tell the old, old story
of Goddess without end.
