Call for Submissions - Whatever Works: Feminists of Faith Speak

The Girl God, is accepting submissions for our upcoming Anthology of women’s writing: Whatever Works: Feminists of Faith Speak.

Whatever Works is an anthology project filled with
global women’s voices from all faith traditions. We want to highlight commonalities between women working towards gender equality. We want to know what has worked for you in your faith tradition, what hasn’t – and most importantly, what gives you inspiration and strength to continue the struggle towards full human rights for all women.

We want to hear from Muslims, Atheists, Jews, Christians, Goddessians, Agnostics, Hindus, Buddhists, Pagans, Taoists  – every faith tradition.
Email trista@girlgod.org for submission guidelines. You must submit your work before December 15th for consideration.

UPDATE: Submissions are now closed.  The anthology should be out by late March and available for pre-order in mid February.

Celeste Gurevich, Whatever Works Contributor

Whatever Works is a unique collection of writing by feminists of diverse faiths from around the world. This anthology combines personal essays, poems and academic musings with the goal of sparking conversations among women of all faith backgrounds. Religion plays a key role in defining and maintaining value systems, and yet it is often disregarded within feminism itself. This book shares the stories of highly diverse women with the hope that we can find collective solutions to the global problems that plague women and girls living under patriarchy.

Available late March - pre-order here.
